Well to get started Im just gonna say the images that follow this message are copyright their respective owners/creators and I do not claim ownership or creation of any of said images nor will I be held liable for any copyright infringement. There now that thats said Lets Move along....the following images are some template images for what Im going to be doing with this mod.

Oky for the logo I plan on cutting 1 of those 2 out of the left side panel...havin trouble on deciding which one...kinda leaning toward logo #2. A for the Ship I plan on cutting a detailed version of it out of the right hand side panel of the case its not really a matter of choosing on that one since they are all the same ship...so moving onto the final piece which would be the Klingond Ritual blade depicted in the last image, that is gonna be my design for the top window of the case...I was gonna use a standard Klingon dagger but it seemed way to plain so I browsed through the selection of blades and the Kutluch ritual blade stood out the most with its intricate design. I gotta say this is the easiest I think Ive seen mod wise for getting all the necessary images for templates not to mention inspiration that Ive ever seen.

(Note Reason why Im calling it the Ritual Bird of Prey is cause the Ritual blade and ship  ....I would have added Klingon to the name but I figured it was a tad bit long )

Here is Logo Selection #1

Logo Selection #2

Now Onto The Bird of Prey Selection
#1

#2

#3

Ah Now for the Weapon Selection

yea it does kinda look a little plain without the circle...wonder if chrome red paint would work for that. :D

Well I did some painstaking work at refining the edges of the front panel cut out....and since I didn't have the money to go out and buy a set of files I improvised and used a nail file, art kit exacto knife and a round diamond coated grinder bit(by hand of course) lol I also removed as much of the excess marker outline as I could using antibacterial hand sanitizer and kleenix.

well I'm finally back at it, heres the pic of the initial trace I did for the top panel. I figured I would cut the top design out tomorrow, or as much of it as I can anyway.

well I made some very small progress today, I thought I had more of those crappy fiber sort of cutting discs then I did but only had 3 left so I wasn't able to get much done before they kinda exploded on me. I'm gonna have to go out to princess auto monday and grab some of those diamond coated metal cutters, but until then heres what I did manage to get done.

lol yea thats the biggest thing you have to watch for when doing this much dremel work, tends to be alot of sharp edges. although I haven't cut myself to many times or all that bad.

Man, you must be good. My wife tells me to put on my colored bandages before I start work so that I can see my fingers so that I don't hit them or cut them. lol Happy Modding to ya.

lol Ive nearly clipped them a few times but I seem to have gotten a lot better that way, although usually a good idea to make sure your fingers aren't in the path anyway I spose. lol

honestly though Ive seen people use other tools for cutting other then dremels and I would be willing to bet if I tried to use say nibblers for the work I do, I would have a harder time then I do with my dremel. the way I do my cutting generally is not to dig right in so much as create a groove in the metal to follow first so it binds less, guess the best way to describe my method is more or less like pencil work and it helps as well that I always use the flex shaft for it.

well heres a small update, I would have gotten more done but I think my flex shaft may be melting cause it was like it just lost all power for cutting and was stopping in it's track at the slightest pressure.
