haha I almost missed the DSC custom cut, looks like you're getting pretty comfortable with that CNC eh?

I'd love to hear how you did the lighting/etching. I have an idea, but I'm not sure my idea would come out as clean looking, lol.

But as always, keep up the awesome work, and keep us posted!!

The DSC relief cut was to create a vent hole for the cpu fan of the system. I vent all of the heat from the system through the entire hole.

Lighting is accomplished with RGB surface mount flexible strip that can be purchased off of Ebay for $50 a 5 meter section. The circuitry pattern is reverse screen printed on .020 lexan and attached to the lexan body panels.
Similar to these from that synth mod from earlier this year.

I am always learning more about the CNC router. I feel more comfortable with it than I did just 4 months ago. I now am experimenting with using it to drill small holes into custom made pcb's.

I will release more details on this mod later.

Thanks, having this backlit with rgb led's makes it fun to change the color on the fly. If you happen to be at the CES show early next year, it will be on display at the Lenovo booth. Stay tuned for pics.
