hahaha, well, my first attempt at air brushing was an experience. I learned a few things...

1. Not half as easy as I thought it'd be.
2. That paint stains your skin, lol
3. Even though my last name starts with "S", sometimes you'll still go brain dead and draw one backwards, lol

I'm going to keep practicing for sure though, I definitely like the potential I can do with this thing! lol so I hope my epic fail lessons help anyone else who's starting out on air brushing. DSC, I know you'll be doing a real lol when you read this.

OK FIRST UP EMUL NITRATE GLOVE DUMBASS
secondly

SERIOUSLY? LMFAO i thought it was a reversed jpeg... WOW SLICK, wow

Just keep painting and try different levels thinner mixed in. dont focus so much on drying time yet. just get it to shoot how you want, and never, ever, ever stop you hand from moving, if you want to end a line, turn your wrist to angle the spray away from the project, dont release the trigger until your spraying off the project or youll get those puddles in your corners that i see, uhm, everywhere =]

Great to hear you got it set up.
How is the flow from the gun?
Is it spitting? Does it seem smooth?
We can work on technique later, right now I'm more concerned that everything feels like it is working right.
If everything feels like it is working right, I would start to practice the dagger stroke. This stroke is the most practiced stroke from all airbrushers.

Start one direction and go from thick to thin.
Once you feel that feels easier, reverse it, go from thin to thick.
I think I have completed 3 or 4 million of these so far, and I still warm up with them, so I would spend at least an hour working on them.

Try not to be discouraged. Oh, and I never use gloves. I like the old natural feeling, even if I do get messy. Gives you something to talk about at lunch time with the rest of the paste eaters!

haha i'll have to try those next. the gun was smooth, i didn't notice any kicking or spatter, everything seemed to flow perfectly. I know the big thing I have right now is just getting a feel for it all. I might try some more stuff tonight. If I do, i'll be sure to post some pics :) lol maybe this time a super man "S" in the right direction, lol
