ARGLH! I don't have my computer running, and thus no photoshop! I did make a pretty sweet fusionmods title though, I'll see if I can get that off my corrupted HDD.

I hope the ads work out great! I like the forums the way they are, but the site could definatly use some more publicity. Do you think it would be worth waiting until after the site gets some new graphics for the ads?

its hard to say how everything would work out, but we do need publicity, and more hits. And for the reviewers, more hits means the more likely we are to get stuff to review. and that works out for everyone.

I'm really looking at timing them somewhat closely. I'm looking at trialing a couple small campaigns just to gauge which ones would be more effective before I go big though.

On the other hand, I know the ads sound kind of like a scary idea just because the potential influx of new members (and nothing wrong with that) but I don't want it to cause too much confusion. I'm not planning to flood the net though so I'm thinking we should be pretty alright.

lol I think I'm also just half curious in the real effectiveness. I mean I'm a web developer so I deal with this stuff pretty regularly, but I've never had to do advertising. The place I work at already has a pretty huge base so it doesn't need to advertise at all. Luckily though, we do sell site ads there, so I'm able to check out all the stats and get an idea of what makes ads more effective for my own use.

No, offense but I think one thing you should look into is making an official Fusions logo. Once you have something like that it wouldn't be to hard to make a banner on that theme.

If you were to choose an official logo I really liked the one DSC made a while ago when he made that window for the contest.

lol thats so funny i had just mentioned that as well. its a huge step. the OFFICIAL fusion logo.... probably have to get it registered as a trademark.

I can upload the vector if anyone wants to play with it and come up with something different. I usually sketch a couple ideas and go with the most bold and simple.
Let me know what format you need it. ie .eps, .ai, .cdr

Here's a design for the name I came up with a while ago, I was planning to have the ice and the fire come out in between the two words and swirl together, fusing into white or something.

These are some sweet Ideas. I'm all for having a ton of logos too. Doing some online advertising, the more the logos the better haha. Having a lot of logos is pretty cool too because from an advertising point of view it lets me start to find trends in what's more effective and what isn't.
