I have always wanted my own Lian-Li case, but they have always been so expensive. Well I recently just got a job, and I just spent $80 on a PC-A05 case. I plan to do a little modding, and maybe add a water cooling loop if I get some extra cash. Don't expect a crazy big mod, because my next money pit will be a Nissan 240SX SE that I'm about to get my hands on :)
Here is the case stock as can be, It's even sexy even without mods :D
A couple of days ago, my order from mnpctech.com arrived. I ordered some carbon fiber vinyl film, uchannel, steel mesh, 3m vhb tape, and a red plexiglass window.
So far, I have only been able to install the window and wrap my scratched to hell power supply with carbon fiber film.
I'm gonna wire and rig up the LED lighting tomorrow, once I get off of work. I might also go see if radioshack still sells LED's and replace the bright as hell blue power LED. :P steamid: dead7iest_weap0n

Yesterday I dremeled a pci slot cover to accommodate 2 usb ports and the power switch to the LED lights:
Today I finished the wiring and the mounting for the LED lighting. I just bent some L-Brackets for the LED mounts to make a permanent lighting setup.
Finally, I put it all back together, and turned on the lights:
Tomorrow I'm gonna do a few small mods, like swap out the blue power LED and maybe a better way to organize the wires a bit more. Other than that, I'm pretty much finished for now.

Once I get some money ($1600 in debt from a hit and run accident >.<) I'm going to re-sleeve my psu and get a new video card. It may be a while before I have any new updates.

Update on this case. Apparently my front USB ports weren't properly grounded. Occasionally upon plugging in a USB device, my computer would just crash. So I grounded them by soldering the ground contact to a ground molex plug:
My case was getting pretty dusty so I went ahead and cleaned it up. While I was at it I decided to also re organize my wires.
I also got this cool wireless bluetooth keyboard/mouse/laser pointer of of amazon for around $50:
I'm getting a lot more money soon so I might re-sleeve all of the wires. I want to individually sleeve each wire like this:
Another thing I want to incorporate into my case is retractable USB charger cables. I have a lot of devices / peripherals that connect via USB and when there not charging it's a pain having all of the cables laying around.

Been making a decent bit of cash the past few weeks, so I picked up an XSPC RASA 750 RX240 Water cooling kit. I also went ahead and got some sandpaper and I lapped the blocks base (It was really convex >.<) and my cpu. I still have to cut the blow hole for the Rad and rewire my LEDs.
Loop Test:
Lapped my CPU and installed the mounting screws:
System is installed and ready to go:
The rad is currently being zip tied to the top of the case while I cut the blow hole(s) for it on the top panel:
And here's a pic of the top of the case. This is beginning to be pretty tedious:

Update: I am finally going to finish this case mod. The only thing I'm going to skip out on is resleeving my power supply. Right now I don't have batteries for my camera and I downgraded to an old blackberry because my HTC G1 became so buggy that it would crash when I tried to make a call.
I'm repainting the rad and the power supply and using a hex grille instead of drilling out a billion holes on the top for the rad. I went with a flat black because a glossy coat wouldn't match the anodized black aluminum casing.
I'm gonna get everything finished up, post some pics and probably sell my entire desktop rig. I'm moving on to my next project: Buying a 95-98 Nissan 240sx and turning it into a drifting machine. :D My laptop does everything I need to do fine since all I play now is minecraft.
The rad and grill are painted. All I need to do now is sand and paint the power supply shell, install the LED's and cut the top of the case. I'm also waiting for my friend to find my LED array and my front usb/audio ports because there somewhere in his house. >.<

Just got a new job so I don't have to sell my desktop. :D
I just ordered a dangerden delrin fillport (to be used as a drain plug), t-fitting and some tube clamps. I also got some more high CFM yate loon 120mm fans.
All I have to do now is strip all the paint off the PSU casing, repaint it and add another coat to my rad. Then I have to cut a fan hole on the top of my case, drill a hole for the drain and then put it all back together.
Once I fix up a few more things on my truck I'm planning on buying some paracord to sleeve my psu and various wires.

Bringing this mod back from the dead. This case has been disassembled in my room for the past 3 months. :( Now it's time to get things back up and running since I actually have a decent job that can support my semi addictive modding habits. :) I bought a DangerDen Delrin fill port to be used as a drain for easy transport and I'm about to get towards a wrapping up of this case mod.
Bought some tools today to start modding. :D I also found out that the rusty drill press in my basement still works great :D Tomorrow I'm going to cut out some fan holes and a hole on the bottom for the drain plug. Sounds like a good way to kick of my 21st birthday :)

Alright after a week of trying to replace my entire front braking system because of rust on my crappy truck, I can finally finish up my WC loop. I just got my shipment in from FrozenCPU (6FT of black Tygon tubing 3/4" OD, 1/2" ID, Danger Den plastic tubing clips, 2 red 90 Degree bends and one red t-line.) After a few days of trial and error and trying to figure out why it keeps on leaking I finally am running a full loop test.
Everything's all prepped and laid out, now time to test with water.
And after changing around some fittings and tightening some things It's ready to be run for 24 hours:
Also I repainted my PSU:

Update: My 24 hour loop test was over so I started to assemble everything. Unfortunately, the plastic clamps suck when used on metal fittings. >.< Now I need to wait until morning to buy some metal clamps.
