Yes. This will be quite the interesting mod job. I've been given a 1/2 dead HP Pavilion DV6000 laptop that I am going to be modding. Its not all scratched up or beat up, but the motherboard in it is on its last leg(IDE died in it so the CD-DVD-RW no longer works, and the guy gave this to me in trade to get his desktop worked on.) I am planning on swaping the motherboard with one of the other model DV6000 motherboards with dedicated Nvidia graphics and dedicated ram, as this one has a Nvidia 6150, but its shared ram. I will POSSIBLY(haven't decided yet) going to do some paint work or maybe a vinyl wrap of some sort on the lid.
Here's the laptop with dimentions:

Core2 Quad Extreme QX96500-ES @ 3Ghz, 4gb Patriot DDR2-1066Mhz RAM, 4gb Intel Turbo Memory, 3x 500GB WD Blue drives, Samsung DVD-RW, GTX 560ti-1gb Gfx card.
Future Mods: none for Freshwater. Next build will be all new.

Ive already sourced the motherboard that I want to put into it, gonna cost me about $100+ shipping. To my understanding, the board Ima order is a dual core Turion supporting board, and ive got a 1.6Ghz Turion X2, so I will also be upgrading from a single core Turion 2Ghz to a dual core 1.6Ghz Turion x2. Its alot of replacement, but I think that the hardest part will be sourcing some of the drivers, but again, thats ok, they all SHOULD be findable on HP's support site.
I also learned I will need a new heatsink because of the dedicated Gfx chip.
