(Fafnir in old norse mythology is a dragon Sigurd kills)

Hey guys, This is my case after a few coats of paint. I thought a nice Navy gloss with flat black would look nice.

The front, not done yet, gettin low on paint and the weathers slowly turnin cold. The slots near the bottom iam prolly gunna cut out and replace with a metal mesh. heh you can sorta see my cat in the back.

The side door, need to find some kind of dragon window sticker to put on there. Was thinkin of etching it but iam only so good with a rotary tool.

More to come once I get more done.

Just got an led light I ordered, its a small 5 led uv light. gotta have a friend help me take the mobo and other elctronics out so i can paint the inside. iam thinkin white or some kind of blue that reacts.

heres the led, not as bright as they show in the pic but for 1.99 i cant complain.

you know, white would react great to that...and would give off a real cool glow to the interior.

I think there is some transparent paint or ink that also reacts with the UV light... probably more expensive than normal paint (never checked it out myself), but that would be pretty cool instead of a sticker on the window.

dragon only shows up when the computer is on

saw some awesome black light art at a haunted house I went to last weekend...
enter a plain room
a few seconds later lights flicker, then go out.
Black light turns on at the same time and there's great glowing skulls and monsters on the walls that wasn't visible a minute ago...
they also had some that worked with 3d glasses... mine were too blurry though

Friend's kid: Mommy, what's church?
Mommy: Church is where people go to learn about God.
kid: Who's God? Does he teach karate?

Ghostly, I was thinkin of white, but iam lookin for a kind of blue for it. I bought some Rit brand whitener and brightener, you can mix it with almost any paint and make it uv reactive, as long as its not black or real dark.

nucnuc, I went thru a few scenarios in my head and i might paint the dragon.

Ok guys so the painting is done. it may not be the greatest paint job of my or anyones life but it was better than the dull red i had before IMO.

Front shot, prolly the best picture out of all of these. the major modding (if I do any) will be done later since I have the only working pc out of my family and since everyone uses it, its gotta be complete most of the time lol. And yea thats my room.......havent cleaned it yet...

This shot I figured screw it and painted the back. had alittle paint left in the can and didnt want it to just sit around.

I thought at first maybe the gloss blue and the flat black owuld look awesome, dont get me wrong to me it looks ok but not as good as it could have been.

The window painting Iam waiting on cause I dont really know what kind of paint to use on it and I dont really have a design set.

What kind of paint can I use on the window, assuming the window is acrylic? I tried multiple google searches and all i could find was how to clean my windows Os lol.

Oh p.s.

I dont have much knowledge in removing or installing a keyboard, but got a crash course when a friend told me it was real easy as long as i take precautions for static and of course dropping it. I knew how to connect all the cables to hard drives, cd drives fans, ect.

I just had a little google myself and couldn't find much.

I think you should be safe with paints designed to work with plastics.

Well I did some minor tweaks inside the case, moved some cables, hid some, modded my led light by taking off one side, now the light is brighter and doesnt point in 5 directions like it did before.

Pic is of the wire management and my fan grill I painted a while back. it was the plain shiny metal color, now black and white.

This other pic is of my side door mod, I used a small rotary tool with a diamond covered ball end and lightly etched a Dragon and the word Fafnir in old Norse runes.

Note that this is my first time without any practice with etching. I think I did a damn good job!
