Well guys, I'm still aiming for a new site launch planned as close as possible with the new year. I'm pretty excited about it and I just wanted to let you guys know, haha.

I'm adding a bunch of new features that'll make everything a lot smoother by design. I'm also still working out the new site template which will looks great and really looks a lot more web 2.0.

I wanted to list a few new features for you guys...
- Extremely improved case voting system
- Improved navigation
- New site design
- RSS on everything
- Improved forum commenting abilities
- Improved inner site mailing functionality *(Not done yet, but planned)

I'd alos like to hear what kinds of reccomendations you guys might have. I'm getting to the point that I'm really looking as I code to turn the site into a frame work and handle all the functionality as snap in modules (since that'll make updating and upgrading 100 times faster).

So with all that said what are some things you'd like to see? And feel free to be specific. if you want to see an animation when you click a button then just let me know, if you want something specific like a happy birthday message on your bday, just feel free to let me know. This site is here for you guys so I enjoy the feedback to shape it better for the community.

I'm thinking that'd be doable

yeah dh has the best idea for the new posts. i would love to see that incorporated, and i like knowing i can set my own "max" oh as an addition to that, your posts should over ride "new" posts and automatically be prioritized = you have your max set to ten new ... you have posted a thread, and its been responded to, along with 15 other new posts. your post should be prioritized to definitely appear in your list, even if you only choose "1" as your max.... is that possible?

as for the general design, i personally spend a lot of time reading EACH article, even if at first i do not think it will interest me. BASED ON THAT ALONE, i would love to see some bright colors. so that the more time i spend reading im not getting put to sleep. overall, this page does not generate light lol. i write into the only white part of the screen.
personally, as far as colors, i am HUGE fan of primary, and red/blue combos. you could do a serious like construction theme, seeing as we build pc's, with like a bright grey, white, yellow for headers, and red for certain focal points,
or
you could do like a transformers theme type thing with red and blue headers and side panels and grey bodied boxes. if you do this, i would code little bolts in the corner of all the boxes looking like everything on the page is bolted onto the page manually lol.
or
you could do a basic white backdrop, with customizable color scheme... one layout for everyone, but background color, thread window color and text are optional to the viewer.

either way anything with a brightness to it, and a bit of 3d rendering (hell even if its just some shadows manually drawn in the corners).

i wish i knew how to code i would offer service, however i am sure you are aware of my capabilities. if at any point there is something more productive than feedback that i can offer please don't hesitate to ask

i also really would like to mention how much i am looking forward to rss feed on everything... i am totally going to buy a matrix orbital as soon as that happens, and im dedicating it to this site (well and email hehehe) i even have a sweet mod designed around it. (custom desktop rss reader/soon to come)

I personaly am a fan of muted colors, unless I want something to pop. I run a insanely high resolution( 2048x1536 ) and muted colors on a forum is just easier on the eyes.
