This is largely to DSC, but it might be helpful to anyone else out there. I'm going to try out that airbrush tonight, and I wanted to know if you had any advice for someone who's never tried before? lol I'm not as artistic as I'd like to be, but if you have any recommendations on things to try painting, let me know!! but they'll have to be pretty simple, lol

I would focus on technique first. Getting comfortable with spraying is the hardest part. Most of the time you are in direct contact with what you are working on.ie pen to paper, dremel to metal, brush to canvas. You have no such luxury when you are painting with an airbrush. Play with distance to to your scrap paper. Notice the slight differences from painting 3 inches away as oppose to 6 inches and so on.
Post pics of what you come up with. Start with a lot of figure 8's. Try and get the tops and bottoms thick and the center thin. That will require understanding moving the paint flow trigger while you are moving the brush. Don't get too frustrated. I spent the better part of two years practicing dagger strokes before I felt they were half way decent. It is a lot harder then it looks.
