Killer & Winner - Gaming Mouse Pads by Nova Author: faceless105 -- Posted: 2007-03-07
Next up in line we have two more great products from Nova. After the Raider, Nova continues to raise the bar. The Killer and the Winner II both take gaming pads to new levels by combining performance and style.
The first in line for performance is the advanced mouse pickup that these gaming pads have to offer. Unlike the Raider which has only 6000 DPI, these two gaming pads boast an impressive 8000 DPI. This means that your mouse will never miss its target. This top surface is designed specifically for both laser as well as optical mice. So what does this mean for you? Micro-mirrors enchased into the material ensure precise detection and amplification of the light signal of all optical and laser mice, surpassing proper characteristics of the mouse.
Apart from the special surface of the gaming pad, these have an incredibly unique bottom layer. These both offer an outstandingly adhesive strength. Its cellular foam sticks to surfaces by micro-suction.
While these two gaming pads are both impressive, their only difference is the size. The Winner II has dimensions of 8.85 inches by 8.85 inches with a thickness of only 3mm. The Killer has dimensions of 12.6 inches by 12.6 inches again with only a thickness of 3mm. Now these guys may be thin, but they won't give out on you. Nova believes so much in these products that they come with a two year warranty.
Another innovation of Nova is the way they designed the simple shape. This bi-material setup allows the intuitive user to easily re-center their mouse without and thought, allowing you to really keep your concentration on the game. This shape additionally has been studied to cover 90% of the parabolic movements while gaming.
Now it's time for the real tests...
The mouse glides over the surface amazingly fast, and feels like there is nearly no friction. The special non-skid lower surface really does cling to any surface you put it on. Finally the bi-material used to help you re-center the mouse, really does work. I was a little skeptical at first but you really do notice it and it does make things much easier when you can feel exactly where you are on the gaming pad.
Once again I'd like to thank Nova for this opportunity. I defiantly recommend that all of you check out both the Killer and Winner II, they are defiantly quality gaming pads that really utilize on their innovations. The 8000 DPI, the special surfaces, and even the re-centering frame are features that you won't find anywhere else. So like I said before, check these things out, I promise you won't be disappointed.
Like always I'd love to take care of any questions, comments, or thoughts. :)
