Today I will be reviewing the Magic latop cooler from evercool
First impressions
I have to say that I like the look of the magic notebook cooler. The design might not be to everyones tastes but I personally like it. The cooler clips onto one of the vents (the vent on the laptop mus have vertical bars) on the laptop and pulls hot air through it.
The cooler uses a USB port as a power source and the cable is retractable so the cable wont get in a mess while your transporting your laptop. On the cable near the cooler is a small switch this switch allows you to select the speed of the fan (high or low)
When the cooler is plugged in the ring around the pentacle lights up red which is a nice touch.
The magic cooler has a small bag for when your not using it and while this is not needed or important I felt it was a nice little touch.

Installation
Installation takes a few minutes the first time you use the cooler but once you get the hang of it, it gets a lot quicker.
To install the cooler you must push the spring button and put the cooler against the vent with the two prongs going inside the vent. Then let go of the button and tighten up the cooler by turning a dial.
Noise level
On the low setting I can just hear it above the noise of the laptop and with the high setting i can hear it well but its not annoying.
Its important to remember that if the laptop was to over heat its fans would speed up and it could be a lot louder than it was while testing the cooler.
Performance
I used the cpu temperature to measure the performance of the cooler as the vent it was attached to is for cooling the cpu.
With out the cooler the cpu temperature was 40 degrees Celsius. With the cooler on its low setting the temperature dropped 5 degrees to 35 degrees Celsius. When the cooler was set to its higher setting the temperature dropped another 5 degrees down to 30 degrees Celsius.

Overview
The magic is a good cooler for your laptop. If your always moving your laptop around and cooler around as well this could be the cooler for you. (as long as you don\'t mind the pentacle.)
