SteelSeries 3H Gaming Headset
Author: faceless105 -- Posted: 2007-05-10
When great comfort, a compact design, and excellent sound quality is what you're looking for, then the 3H Gaming Headset by SteelSeries is what you want.

The 3H has a conveniently compact design that allows it to be folded up which makes it ideal for far more then simply gaming. These things are great to take on the road with you whether you're a mobile computer or you just want superior sound with your mp3 player.

The next thing that I noticed with them was the microphone. I was really impressed with how this feature is implemented. The mic is built to slide into the left ear piece. I thought this was a great idea because honestly you'd look kind of funny walking down the street listening to your music with a mic sticking out. Once the mic has been slid back in, it's not really noticeable unless you're looking for it.

Now I want to talk about the sound quality. It is excellent, that's really all that needs to be said. This headset is smaller then a number of other ones but it's not losing anything because of this. The headset cups over your ears very comfortably and has great noise canceling. I've worn some very expensive headsets before that weren't very comfortable, and honestly if they're not comfortable I would really rather not wear them, but that isn't the case with these guys. After spending most of the day with them on, they haven't even begun to bother me.

Now for my first hand thoughts on this headset. In all honesty, I really like it, a lot. It's compact design makes it really convenient for me to take with me anywhere I go, and I do find myself on the run quite a bit. The sound quality is also great. I've never heard any distortion on these things and they do deliver a very full sound. And finally, what is one of my most important features, they feel great to wear. Honestly I don't care how nice a headset is if it will just hurt my ears after a few minutes. These things are so comfortable and have never made my ears sore that I have no problem recommending them on that alone.

The 3H Gaming headset has my personal recommendation. They have a very well though out design and have excellent quality which doesn't surprise me since they are made by SteelSeries. I'd recommend that you guys take a moment and check out the 3H Gaming headset. I'd also like to say thanks to SteelSeries for giving me this opportunity to review their products, they never disappoint.

And as always, I'd love to take this time to field any questions you guys can throw at me :)
